Eden Artspeak is a popular annual series of art talks of over 20 years' standing. Traditionally each year, in the three weeks leading up to Artists in Eden Day, well known artists have discussed their work in a series of evening talks held in or around Mt Eden. The series attracts those wanting to learn more about their favourite artists, students with notepads to the ready and those simply wishing to familiarise themselves a little more with New Zealand contemporary art.
Eden Artspeak this year takes on a slightly new look. Once again we hit the road away from the traditional lecture theatre and this year we will be spreading the talks throughout the year in conjunction with other events in our calendar.
Talk 1 Krystie Wade, Neal Palmer, John Horner, Nicholas Pound (Sunday 3 February at the Pah Homestead)
Talk 2 Belinda Griffiths and Lyn Bergquist (Saturday 27 April at Karekare House)
Talk 3 Various artists (May - TBC)
All of the artists in the series will be participating in our flagship event, Artists in Eden Day on Saturday 16 March.
