Each year, in conjunction with Artists in Eden, well known artists discuss their work in a series of evening talks. These are held locally and have proved to be immensely popular. The series attracts those wanting to learn more about their favourite artists, students with notepads to the ready and those simply wishing to familiarise themselves a little more with New Zealand contemporary art. Eden Artspeak has been running for over 20 years.

The theme for Eden Artspeak this year was Artists Talking About Artists.

The dates were 20 February, 6 March, 13 March.

This year we hit the road in Week 1 as we visited the beautiful Auckland Botanic Gardens. In Weeks 2 and 3 we followed our traditional format of hosting lecture-style talks at the University of Auckland Epsom Campus lecture theatres under the expert guidance of Sue Gardiner.

Week 1 Richard Mathieson + Jim Wheeler + Samantha Lissette

Week 2 Judy Darragh + Imogen Taylor + Julia Waite

Week 3 Jessica Pearless + Jonathan Organ

These talks built up to our flagship event, Artists in Eden Day on Saturday 17 March.
